More WoW stuff, and guild frustration!

February 4, 2008 · No Comments

I recently mentioned that my guild is slowly beginning the transition from casual guild to more of a raiding guild. This is a rough transition to say the least. My self, and a few others know what it is like being in a raid guild and all that comes with it, including Raid times, your raid etiquette(showing up on time, repaired, and so on), DKP, and actually not giving up on a boss after two tries because you do not want to front the repair bill I can go on. The problem is there are a lot of people who are not accustomed to things that have to transition to be successful in this type of environment. It can be frustrating but this guild and I have a long history, and I want to see it succeed.

On that note my guild has had some successes in the raiding scene. We have taken down Gruul the Dragon Killer, and I lead a 10 man into Zul’Aman and killed another boss in there for the first time.

I have not forgotten about Vanguard, I have had to consolidate my games as of late and I look forward to picking it back up soon.

My Fiancee has got Zoom zoom!… and other WoW related stuff!

January 21, 2008 · No Comments

So after almost two months of farming and grinding out gold for her epic flying mount she finally got the 5,000 gold she needed. Her, being a druid has the ability to shape shift into a Raven that will fly as fast as the mounts. With out getting in to to many specifics she opted to go a head and do the long quest chain to get it. The last part requires a group of 5 to enter a dungeon on heroic mode (just basically a harder version of that dungeon) and kill a certain boss in there. Once dead she reports back to to the last quest giver in the chain and she is now flying at 280% over normal run speed. Here is a picture sequence of what went down.

The summoning………..The Fight……………..The Death………………The Result!!!!!GRATS TO MY BABY!

Also my guild took down the first boss in Zul’Aman which is the newest 10 man raid zone they have added to the game. We have done it once before but this was the first time I was present for the fight.

Don’t stop until you get enough!

January 16, 2008 · No Comments

So yesterday I was level 11, As of writing this I am now level 15. Let me tell you about the adventure! I would have more pics but again! The screen shots I am not taking are not saving to folder even though it says saving screen shot Hrmmmm!

Most of my adventures last night were in Khegor’s End. This dungeon is another under ground dungeon built into the side of a mountain. Primarily under the control of rogue Dwarves and their bugbear slaves they are causing a lot of havoc on the out lying Dwarven settlements. With a bunch of assignments I was off I went looking for a group of worthy adventures like my self to bring this place down. Luckily I was able to hook up with fellow travelers from my previous adventure in Riftseeker’s Torrent. Us three, me a 12 Druid, a 12 Psiconist, and a 14 bard. We added a 13 Disciple which is like a healer/melee fighter and he was one tough little dude, also a 17 paladin to tank and finally a 13 Necromancer. Are you counting ? YES! thats 6 people which is the group standard in VG.

vg9.jpg Here we are killing multiple mobs at once.

I wish I could show you more screens but they disappeared. With that being said. I have to say that the the group experience I am having in vanguard is A+! by far the difficulty of these areas are much tougher than anything I have played in comparison with other games recently. As well as the quality of player is much futher up there than say *cough PUG in WOW Cough*

With it all said and done and the majority of our quests complete a lot of us had gained 2-3 levels. I ended the night at level 15 with maybe 3 deaths the whole night, and one of those being a complete wipe and corpse run. Playing this game brings back a lot of those long lost EQ memories. We all agreed that we would definitely subscribe to this game once our free time is over.

And Then he was 11!

January 15, 2008 · No Comments

Jordio has been busy the last day getting his levels up. I am now at level 11! So far I am really having alot of fun in vanguard! The Poor Brownies of Tursh have been through a lot here recently. Being blamed for looting the Rindol Store house (which was their Red Cap cousins!). Rumors that their race is disappearing/dying out. They have had it hard.

Jordio was Tasked to find out why the population was slowly starting to dwindle from the surrounding Halfling and Human village of Tursh. Off to the Brownie villages to the north! When I arrived there I found out! Their Village was over ran with a evil sect. of Magical caster’s looking to enslave them! When I returned to my Superior a Covert operation was hatched. I was to infiltrate their detention area and cause a uprising!

vg6.jpg

I am small but carry a big stick! As a brownie in disguise I was able to get captured and sent to their prison where I roused the repressed brownies into action and over threw the jailer for a grand escape!

vg7.jpg

Lets hope the brownies will stay out of trouble for now on! In other news I did Ding 10 and thanks to all the loot I pulled out of Rindol Store house as well as a very kind Guild member named Ginon I was able to purchase a horse. I find it awesome that at level 10 you can have a pretty fast mount (40% over run speed) , and believe me it is well needed as you may or may not know the world of Telon is HUGE!!!!! I took a screen shot but for some reason it did not end up in my SS list. So you will have to wait.

Vanguard Adventures

January 12, 2008 · No Comments

As of this post I am level 8 now. Jordio has gotten to the bottom of what is going on in Rindol and the halfling’s food supply. Seems the nasty little Redcap Brownies have invaded the store house and has began stealing the food for their own kind. Obviously this will not due. The people of Rindol have called upon the heroes of Telon to take back the Storehouse. Arm’d with a bunch of group quests and no group I decided I would solo it. As a druid I have done quite well soloing things and this did not change at all. I was able to solo my way through the quests and complete each one. I also came out with a bag full of loot that I am gonna sell on the broker as soon as I find one! :)

Screen shot of being lowered in to the bowels of the Store house.

vg3.jpg

I am really enjoying my time in Vanguard. It has taken me completely by surprise. I hooked up with Jaye’s guild Revelry and Honor, and the people there are very nice and helpful.

vg4.jpg vg5.jpg

I must say the Screen shots do not do this game much just as i have scaled them down, but even in game I run on medium settings and get about 25-40 FPS with a few freezes here and there and the game still looks beautiful.

In other news my Guild Covenant on the Khaz Modan server is continuing our weekly farming sessions of Karazhan gearing up for SSC and taking the whooping to Gruul he so richly deserves. We will find out tomorrow night if Gruul will be taking his Dirt nap at the hand of Covenant.

Umm HAPPY NEW YEAR!

January 10, 2008 · No Comments

Wow guys what can I say…. I have seriously been slacking and the blog has faded. My apologies for that.

What have I been up to you ask ? Well EQ2 got put down after my friends started to migrate back to WoW. I do enjoy EQ2 but no fun when you can’t play with your real life friends. As well as my fiancée does not have the computer power to run EQ2 so it was back to wow where I picked up my level 70 raiding rogue again. I am back casually raiding for the time. I recently went to a sword build from a life time dagger fiend I am enjoying it!

In other news I am going to start something new for the time being. See how this fits me. Due to SOE giving you a “Holiday Pass” to Vanguard: Saga of heroes I am gonna try it out and document my journeys(Note: put in bold to help you remember).

BEHOLD!!!! Jordio Emptybelly the level 5 Halfling Druid- He on the smaller size of the Halfling race, but don’t let the size full you. He can tear up some baddies and has a appetite the size of a Half Ogre to boot!

vg1.jpg

So far I have been really liking what SOE has done to the game. I picked up Diplomacy and think it is a neat twist to a MMORPG, as well as a good way to flesh out the story and lore of the Telon World.

Through Diplomacy I have learned a lot of interesting things going on in my little Halfling village. Here Jordio is trying to calm down a Angry Dwarf who isn’t happy with the fact that the Halflings are not shipping their agreed amount of food to the Dwarf out post.

vg2.jpg

I was able to calm him down and send him on his way! Thats pretty much it for now. Stay tuned I will be adding more Adventures of Raiding in WoW and adventuring in Vanguard!

It’s Halloween time! Next to Christmas, I have to say that Halloween is my favorite time of the year. I hope you like my newly decorated blog.

Taking Down the Red Army

September 25, 2007 · No Comments

Sorry for the lack of updates recently. I have been busy plus apparently, I have a upper respiratory infection, which makes life annoying. Over the weekend I bought the Collector’s edition of Word in conflict. This is Real time Tactical game which takes you back to 1989 during the cold war. Instead of the soviet union falling they invade Europe and eventually invade America. The concept behind this is very intriguing. Not even a teenager back when the Cold War ended, only much later in life could I comprehend/respect all that happened. So it was definitely cool to experience this “What if.”

The game play in this game is a lot of FUN it you play as the silent antagonist named Keep reading →

I am excited about Metaplace.

September 19, 2007 · No Comments

So for the past 2 days I have been looking forward to Areae, Inc. releasing their new secret product called Meta Place.

metaplace_logo_rgb_low_rez.png

As of Today they have. I would really recommend going over to Cuppy Cake’s blog or the Meta Place Website to read all about it. I am still trying to grasp the concept, but from what I have read and understood this could be big. Thinking of the possibilities available to you, with the tools that they claim are easy to pick up and go with only your imagination could hold you back.  Thinking of the limitless things I could possibily do is very exciting. Hell I am already trying to sell my fiancée on it by creating her own virtual photo gallery for her Photography work.

I for one can’t wait to “dig in” and check this out.
